Focus: The name "Bianconiglio" ("White Rabbit")
During the restoration work, some interesting particulars were brought to light. The lucky finding of antique bricks on which curious designs and dates (1656, probably the date of the foundation, and 1691, when the house was completed) were sketched, by hand, before being baked, allowed us to date the building and better understand its history. Among the various signs discovered, stylized portrayals of children, arrows and other symbols seem to take us back to a childlike world, a fairy-tale atmosphere. From this, and from the discovery of the most beautiful brick, that one with a cute little rabbit, comes the Agriturismo's name, Bianconiglio ("white bunny"), in honour of the famous fairy-tale "Alice in Wonderland", known throughout the world, from which we got inspiration even for the choice of the room names.
